Got a new puppy on thursday, hubbys sister bought her for us, we had said we wanted a yorkie bitch puppy good enough to breed from in the future, anyway hubbys sister chose the puppy without seeing it and sent a chq for deposit with the view to picking her up when she was old enough, puppy was advertised as exc pedigree with papers, got there thursday and the mum & dad were the biggest yorkies we had ever seen (basset hound size) puppy is enormous almost as big as our other yorkie and puppy is only 8 weeks old, sister in law paid £450 for this puppy and we were told we had to register her ourselves with kc as they were still waiting for bitches papers to come back, rang kc and i cant do it only breeder can do it, rang breeder who said she cant cos hers arnt registered, also she said puppies were accidents and we have now found out she also breeds German Shep's, i keep looking at this enormous pup and thinking she's too big to be a yorkie if these pups were accidents how does she know it was her yorkie dog that did the deed as all her dogs are kept together, i really think we've been had. hubby is blaming me saying i should of said something before we picked puppy up but it was him & his sis that arranged everything, they didn't tell me untill after deposit was paid.

Sue It's an adoreable puppy but your story absolutely disgusts me!! How these people can sleep at night is beyond me and the whole incident is bordering criminal, although I doubt if you could get any police force to deal with it as such. All you will get is buyer should beware. I think if it were me I would be keeping a vigil outside her house until she refunds the money and takes the dog back. I know what your dogs mean to you and am so sorry you have been put into this situation. I hope you get it resolved soon. I feel for you (and the pup)

Oh dear.........but if one consolation Sue- dont think that is is a GSD x Yorkie. Like Paula- l too am sickened and get so mad with people like this! These sort of breeders need something done- to stop their underhand antics! The pup does look adorable though- but you paid an awful lot of money for a pup that is NOT KC reg. Have you tried taking the matter up with trading standards? My heart goes out to you........and like Paula said- dont give up- keep pestering!

| even if she turns out to be a £450 mongrel we will be keeping her, even though she wont turn into what we originally wanted hubby will not send her back. sister in law has tried to get a partial refund as she wasn't as advertised but to no avail, they are now saying the price reflects the fact they didn't want the pups going as christmas pressies rather than for a kc reg puppy, which is not what they said originally. i've mentioned trading standards to sis in law and she is mulling over what to do next, but pup is staying. |

Sue I can't blame you for keeping her. It's so quick and easy to get attached to animals... and that's what this breeder must be hoping for, that your heart rules your brain. The new animal welfare act that came into play in April gave the RSPCA many more powers so I would be getting this breeder logged with them, report her to trading standards and just to give her a Merry Christmas...leave a message for the Inland Revenue!! Ho Ho Ho !
