Hi,
I am new to the site and researching my filly's pedigree. Does anyone have info on her grandsire Blurred Vision. Who was he by and is he still alive/standing at stud. I seem to remember stud adverts for him some years ago but have not seen any recently. I think they showed him eventing, is this right and how well did he do?
Attached picture of my filly - the face of the guy in the background is priceless.

Hi Inca
Your filly is lovely! Blurred Vision was indeed and Intermediate Eventer. He was bay leopard standing 16.1hh but unfortunately he had to be put to sleep in 2001 when a mare kicked and shattered his knee. He has no known recorded breeding, having been registered years ago with BApS on the then hardship rulings purely from his colour and characteristics, as Dance with Wolves was. If your youngster is anything like the one's I've had from Blurred Vision breeding then she will be very accomplished. The stallion, Double Vision is also by him and look what he's achieved over the years!

Thanks Haverlands, That was the advert I saw, it answers my questions re his breeding and what happened to him. My filly is by Double Vision, Blurred Vision is her grandfather. Her maternal grandmother is Zhensuk Sweet Sue, full sister to your Chieftan. Has Double Vision produced any noteworthy stock? I don't know if you are aware but he too died last year. |

Oh, I didn't know about Double Vision. I know he won the Championship at the Scottish show last year. What a crying shame.... I'm not sure if Marys stood him to alot of mares but I have seen and owned decent stock by him. I bought Corskie Vision as a yearling which was by him. He's still entire but not licenced with his now owner in west yorkshire. He's a nice horse too., Tri leopard about 15.2hh. ..Sweet Sioux has breed some lovely stock and usually to non appaloosa stallions Paula x

Hi Sarah, Thanks, I would love to see some of her relatives and have a 'spotty' chat. The board is not allowing any PMs due to our small number of posts. Perhaps Karen would give you my e-mail address.
