Hi Everyone!

Have just joined the forum after getting back my lovely appaloosa gelding. I sold him to someone I thought I could trust 18 months ago, with his full history at a very low price, as he had had serious behavioural problems. He was sold on a month later to lovely girl, but who had lost her confidence with a previous horse, at a big profit without his history.

Luckily I managed to stay in touch with his new owner, and sadly things didn't work out for her, and he knocked her confidence even more. So, I agreed to buy him back (always regretted selling him, but had to at the time). I ended up paying more than I sold him for, and he's even naughtier by the sound of it! The little devil kicked a big hole in the trailer whilst being brought down today!

Hopefully we'll be ready to support some showing classes next year.

Anyway, he's here, and here are some pics!

He's beautiful.
Such a kind eye. No wonder you put yourself out to get him back. He'll soon come round now he's home. Where there's a will there's a way. Bet you're beaming! Is it really Midori. If so, my god he's really coloured out since the last photo I saw of him!
Welcome to the forum Kirsty!
Good Luck!

Thankyou for the kind comments.

It's not Midori Paula, although he is doing very well in his new home, he's going to be hunting over the winter, then doing some serious affiliated eventing next year. He has a briiliant jump, and is really well scholled now. Midori hasn't got a naughty bone in his body, bless him!

This is Bantac Jackson the pure bred gelding I had. He's not naughty really, just a big baby who needs from, consistent and kind handling. He's a very affectionate boy, but he was used for covering when younger (although sadly never licensed so I can't trace his offspring) and he's still a bit colty, which makes him a little unpredictable. He's by Alder Starbuck out of Bantac Lucky.

I feel very lucky to have a Bantac horse, as there aren't many left now!

LOL...That answers my question then. Thought Midori had coloured out alot.
I remeber you having this one thinking about it. Nice you've got him back now and yes it must be nice to have the Bantac prefix. Like you say, not many around these days.#
I've done just the same and bought my Blythwind Boogie back. I had her 5yrs then sold her to a friend but now she's home after just under 3...a bit older but still the same great gal (and tested back in foal to Nobby for next year)
Yippee!

Thankyou for the welcome!

I am sure we will get everything sorted. He's having fun with the mares at the moment, trying to round them up away from the other gelding! As far as I know, he's not been out with mares since he was entire, so it's a bit of a novelty for him I think! Don't think they'll put up with his nonsense for long.

I am going to try my hardest to get to the big appy shows and classes at county shows this year. Also, as he is a GD, with an Anglo-Arab grandparent, he's eligible for overstamping with AHS, so I'm going to try him in PBA classes at affiliated level too. That'll be interesting.....
